According to a new collaboration
study conducted by
PGi,there are
five dynamic personalities that sea-
soned IT professionals and admin-
istrators are likely supporting every
day and may not even know it.
The multi-national survey, of
more than 1,000 knowledge work-
ers, found that the five distinct col-
laboration personality types – Casu-
al, Meticulous, Practical, Savvy and
Progressive – could be linked back
to specific industries, sectors and
even job types. PGi created the sur-
vey to help IT professionals identify
key collaborative segments within
their own business environments,
taking the guess work and uncer-
tainty out of making a strategic col-
laboration solution purchase, said
Scott Tapp, executive vice president
sales, marketing and customer suc-
cess of PGi.

segment.
Savvy

High frequency users who view collaboration as vital to business success,
as this group of primarily marketing and sales roles prioritizes sharing visual
presentations and fostering an interactive environment with customers and
partners that is often viewed to be directly tied to revenue generation.
Progressive

The most highly engaged and motivated users (and decision-makers) of
collaboration solutions, with a focus on technologies from established and
recognized providers that are cutting edge, and flexible and robust enough,
to support the various demands of their constituents.
